Everything is great about Burning Man: location, organization, art, music and even dust. But the best that it has are the participants, burners, the residents of the wonderful and unique Black Rock City. It’s its people – the most valuable resource of the event.

Not once we asked ourselves: where else would it be possible to organize Burning Man, where it would just as interesting, but not as extremely dry, hot and windy? On a long and wide Hawaiian beach Waimanalo by the edge of the blue ocean? Or somewhere in the mountains of the Olympic National Park in Washington around the dark limpid lake? Or, maybe, the ideal place would be the most beautiful California Redwood Forest with its moss-grown gigantic sequoias and foaming rivers? Maybe.
But you see, all those picturesque, magnificent places lose to Nevada desert in one major point: there is no dust.

Today we are going for a casual stroll through the city of burners.
Every burner experiences and lives a week in the Black Rock City differently. Moreover, he or she experiences this week differently every other time they come to Burning Man. On our first visit to Burning Man in 2009 we were more like stunned tourists than the full-fledged participants. In 2010’s Burn we almost entirely submerged and integrated with the idea, atmosphere and people. As for this year, we knew from the very beginning, that we are going as observers, or even explorers, if you may, and that Burning Man 2015 was to become a part of our Tour US rather than its own event.

After a much needed layover at Burning Man 2015, we are back on the road for the final part of our road trip. Last week some of our Burning Man photos were featured at Fathom Instagram blog and we are happy to post them here. These are just a few of what we captured at the event.
